“Global M&A Design for the Twenty-First Century: Digital Business Model Innovation and Cross-Border Deals”
Since the summer term of 2019, Prof. Dr. Feix has the honor to teach at Harvard University in Cambridge, US. The course is part of the Harvard University summer school and is titled as “Global M&A Design for the Twenty-First Century: Digital Business Model Innovation and Cross-Border Deals”.
In rapidly evolving markets with patterns of digital disruption, business model innovation and boundary-less competition of platforms, resilient strategies are paramount to increase shareholder value and for propelling growth. Business strategies have to be sensitive to their specific ecosystem and, therefore, should be tailor-made. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&As) are, among other strategies, a particular approach to leverage growth and value by redesigning portfolios and shaping a competitive advantage.
The lectures develop an M&A framework, which address the needs for successful transactions in the 20’s. The course is based on Prof. Feix’s forthcoming book “End-to-End M&A Process Design – Resilient Business Model Innovation” and is centered on the following topics:
- Embedded M&A-Strategy (incl. business designs, portfolio revitalization and culture designs)
- Transaction Management (valuation methodologies, cross border and start up valuation, LBO)
- Integration Management
- Synergy Management
Scientific Content is blended with a rich set of case studies.
