Lectures for University of Geneva’s MBA Program on Global Innovation Management (GIM)
Prof. Dr. Feix has the honor to teach at the University of Geneva (French: Université de Genève), Switzerland, since the summer term 2018. His course is the final lecture of the Executive MBA and International Organization-MBA (IO-MBA) Program of the University. The content of the course on “Global Innovation Management (GIM)” stretches out from classical innovation management (product, services and processes) and strategic innovations up to business model innovations. The final session and student term papers address the advanced subject of innovations for smart cities, for example, advanced urban mobility, tech driven public health or the future of education.
In line with the strong social responsibility and advanced technologies of the University, this course will be offered as a Virtual Classroom course empowered by globally leading digital collaboration platforms for the MBA and IO-MBA class due to the COVID-19 health crises in June 2020.
Even though the course was completely online, it was a vibrant experience and great discussion on 21st-century innovation strategies, just like the last two years. The students had to work on the case study “The Future of the Automotive Ecosystem 2020+: Uber vs BMW vs Tesla vs Alphabet” and had the pleasure of a fascinating presentation by Simon, as top-manager of &charge, who showed his real-world new business model. In addition to that, the participants will have to address in their papers the hot topic of “Smart City Innovation”.
